You're good at holding it all together. You're just not sure when you stopped feeling alive.
You're successful on the outside and running on empty on the inside. You live up in your head - managing, analyzing, getting through the day - and somewhere along the way your body started to feel like a stranger. The world rewards you for staying there. It just quietly costs you your joy.

What Women Say…
“Working with Rebecca has completely changed my life in ways I truly never thought possible. When I first met her, I had so many thoughts around ways I wanted to improve - for me, my family, and my relationships. I knew what I wanted, but had no idea how to get there. I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to start.
As a working mom of three little kids, I felt there was 'no time' for any of this. Thanks to Rebecca, I have done it with ease. In our first conversation I shared three goals. Each week she gives me one action step to integrate into my schedule as I work toward achieving these goals.
She gives me real, concrete and actionable steps rather than just sharing theory. She helps me understand what to do exactly and why it works. I have never heard someone frame conversations the way she does. She is supportive, encouraging and SO positive.
She celebrates the small wins and reminds me of just how far I have come - that it is a marathon, not a sprint. Our weekly calls leave me feeling happy, motivated and excited for whatever objective I have for the week.
While certainly not done, I have transformed in ways I never thought I could, working toward a better version of myself every day. I am so proud of my progress, and there is NO way I could have done this without her. I am so very grateful!”

“Rebecca guided us through the day and its activities and provided us with questions allowing us to look inward, versus outward. I really enjoyed these sessions even if it can be difficult to look inward as that can feel foreign for some of us (to focus on ourselves).
The diverse group of women present. The thoughtfulness behind all the days activities. I enjoyed hearing other women's stories about their lives and struggles and everyone being supportive of each other.
Key takeaways that we are all on this journey and to live each day with gratitude and to have more grace with myself.”

"This retreat was an opportunity to look inward, connect with women in all stages of life, and find deeper meaning for ourselves. Rebecca guided us through each activity with thoughtfulness and real intention, offering questions that invited genuine self-reflection.
The sound bath, the hike in nature, the conversations about life, struggle, and growth, and the way every woman showed up to support one another created something truly special. I am taking home a commitment to live each day with gratitude and to offer myself more grace."

I know what it's like to live in your head
For years I performed, pushed, and tried to fix myself from the outside - the harder I fought my body, the further I got from myself. What finally brought me home wasn't another program. It was dance. As I came back into my body through joy, I changed, and about seventy pounds left along the way - not because I chased it, but because I'd stopped being at war with myself. I've spent two decades in this work and twenty-five years learning how to hold a room, and I wrote The Wisdom of Dance so women wouldn't have to find their way home alone.
The Wisdom of Dance
Pathways to Healing, Liberation, Joy and Connection
Discover what your body has always known.
For over four decades, dance has been Rebecca's most reliable source of healing, liberation, joy, and connection. In this passionate project, she documents the profound transformation that conscious dance offers to anyone willing to listen to their body's wisdom.
Through 18 in-depth conversations with extraordinary movement practitioners who have touched millions of lives, plus her own healing journey from obese and unhappy to fit and flourishing this book reveals the four pathways that dance opens: healing our wounds, liberation from limiting patterns, accessing sustainable joy, and creating authentic connection.
Whether you move in a wheelchair or run marathons, consider yourself artistic or analytical—this book reminds you that you are already a dancer, already carrying ancient wisdom that never stopped living in your bones.

Who I am
I've been dancing my whole life — but it wasn't until I walked into my first Five Rhythms class over twenty years ago that I truly found my rhythm. That night, dimly lit and nothing like the clubs I knew, I discovered something revolutionary: the freedom to follow my own internal compass instead of prescribed steps, and the profound safety that arrives when authentic expression isn't just allowed but celebrated. I've spent every year since learning what the body knows that the mind forgets.
Today I write, speak, facilitate, and gather women into rooms where movement becomes medicine. My book, The Wisdom of Dance: Pathways to Healing, Liberation, Joy and Connection, distills four decades of practice alongside the collective wisdom of extraordinary teachers who've touched millions of lives. Whether you've come here to dance your way home to yourself, or to bring this work to your community, I'm so glad you're here.
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me walking my beloved dog, sharing quiet mornings with my husband between our homes in New York City and the Hudson Valley, and — always — dancing.
